IBM, Syracuse University School of Information Studies (iSchool), and the University of Ottawa Telfer School of Management join forces to create an action-oriented and participant-driven peer review workshop to discuss the future of Big Data and Analytics and revolutionize the availability of Big Data and Analytics skills for businesses to leverage.

Conference Goals

    • professional & executive education programs
  • Conference papers to be published in academia and IBM Data magazine.
  • Develop a professional network of scholars, researchers, and practitioners.
  • Share best practices between faculty and attendees.

Big Data and Analytics Book

All accepted papers will receive a presentation slot and will be published as online proceedings on the Syracuse University iSchool, and the University of Ottawa Telfer School of Management websites.

The co-chairs will invite select authors to submit extended papers as chapters of a book to be published after the completion of BDA EdCon.

IBM Data Magazine Publication

A conference summary report and select whitepapers created as a result of the workshop will be published in IBM Data magazine. More details will be announced at the workshop Nov 2&3.
